Why is Singapore Zoo highly ranked on Tripadvisor?

Success of Singapore Zoo~~

Singapore zoo is so successful and highly recommended and ranked by other tourists boards and also Tripadvsior is because of its awesome services, programmes and facilities.

As mentioned above, the visitor's market of the zoo i classified would be families with young kids, it is because the zoo provide a wide variety of activities like animal rides, animal feeding, kidzworld and animal shows.

Special services for elderlys: Besides, there are also disabled services provided like wheelchairs if the family brought their elderly along as well as parking services and toilets.

Special services for toddlers: Prams and wagon rentals are available.

Other facilities: Lockers are located near the entrance while nursing rooms and diaper changing rooms are located at different locations around the zoo for convenience. First aid Stations, Prayer rooms & Lost and Found.

Unique points of Singapore Zoo :

1.) It is a rainforest themed zoo inside out. Uniform of the staff are rangers and it makes it look more like being in a jungle feel.

2.) A BREAKFAST WITH ORANG UTANS!!! Who wouldn't be surprised to hear that we are able to have a breakfast with the animals and also photos are available to be taken too! For me, my first reaction was WOW A BRAND NEW EXPIERENCE FOR TOURIST FOR SURE!  I mean, which zoo does that frequently?

3.) Animal shows. Singapore Animal shows not only showcases the ability and their presentations but educates the audience about our nature wildlifes are getting lesser and lesser due to the burning of forests in other countries and also, these animals are stranded as their natural habitats are destroyed. Animal shows are forever fully seated.

Pitting itself against other zoos.

I've picked out Thailand Dusit Zoo as a competitor because i had been there before. Thailand zoo doesn't have as much facilities like Singapore Zoo does and also, they do not have alot of staffs around asking visitors if they want a picutur given, their services isn't as great as Singapore. They do not havd the welcoming feeling and there aren't a lot of tourists and i remembered it was a sunday that i went to visit. Animals too, Singapore had 2,800 ver different species of animals while Thailand only had 1,600. Thailand had 5 zoos in different cities, but i think Singapore Zoo definitely wins based on the number of visitors, facilities, services, activities and also programmes and also in terms of educational stuffs.

Successful in Promoting itself? Oh yes, Singapore Zoo surely does. Singapore Zoo even had banners and posters hung in Orchard, a shopping heaven for the locals and most importantly, the tourists as most of them stay in the hotel of orchard. They also promoted themselves by having posters at our bus stops. The website has also been done up very well and full of infomation you wanted. Brochures are given out too.

Unique nature and the challenges pose for the zoo?

UNIQUE NATURE OF ZOO:

1.) The guided tram ride. The guide is very detailed in giving us the guide of the zoo when the tram passess different zones and areas and also ensuring the safety of the passengers at all time. Besides, he will patiently wait and check the tickets before letting the passengers up. Those with trams they will help them put it on the front of the tram, providing fairly good services.

2.)  Visitors involvment. Visitors and the service providers cannot be separated. Hence we need to experience it ourselves before we know our expectations and all. Like buying drinks from the drinks stalls.

Bought ice slush with friends, me holding cranberry flavour, middle guy mango and right girl guava :)

3.) Service product not standardized. As the zoo is a open area, it would be a little difficult for the visitors if it rains. Hence, if it rains, visitors would have to buy ponchos sold by the zoo if they do not have umbrellas with them and also, the staffs would be quite busy with providing services. To the staff, speed is needed as there are alot of visitors to tend to, at times, they are prompt to make mistakes and cause unhappiness and disappointment in them. However, they do not do that on purpose as attitudes of staffs may also change from time to time.

PYGMY HIPPOS :)

4.) Product being perishable. Booking for dining with animals. If you missed it during the time slots, money is not refundable as they need to continue for the next timing with other visitors that has booked beforehand too. And also, during the dining with animals also can't be stored. They are being produced and then experienced at that point of time.

5.) No tangible product to bring home. Services you get is intangible and also, we do not have gift or any tangible products to bring home. We cannot feel the wholesome service and experience of the zoo if we are not there or to know it beforehand.

6.) Surroundings. Area of the zoo is very big and it doesn't cause any human traffic jam unless the crowd is being dispersed after animals show. Else, walking pavements and other areas are spacious and not always crowded and you are walking in a rainforest. Environment of the zoo is very clean and there are cleaners around picking up litters and maintaining the area clean. In addition, the are snacks and drinks stalls set up at different zones of the zoos to provide refreshments for visitors to buy so they need walk such long distance.

Motivating factors you might be interested !

Visitors can have a special experience by having breakfast with their famous Ah Meng at the Ah Meng Restaurant with beautiful scenery and fresh air around you with international and local delicacies! A You Only Life Once Experience, why not just give a try? Cause nobody does it as well as them! Breakfast timings are from 9am-10.30am daily, $29 for adults and $19 for kids under 12. Remember to make a booking with the zoo before going down! For this activity, the motivating factor will be it has a different and a closer experience to the nature reserve.

2.) Wild discovery tour! Discover the behind-the-scenes of maintaining the different zones!

A personal guide will be with you and drive a buggy that can contain a capacity of people up to 7 around the zoo to explore and take a closeup experiences with the animals at Fragile forests, Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia and Reptile Garden. It would be popular with families with young kids be it the locals or tourists as it would be a very fruitful & inspiring  educational trip for the young minds, when they learn about the myths and also the work by the zookeepers to maintain and take care of the little animals and insects. Not only kids would get amazed, but the adults as well. Well, Singapore Zoo is not ranked as the first few best zoos in the Whole Wide World for nothing!! It is priced at a reasonable prize at &28 for adults and $18 for children under 12. Motivating factor will be that is a educational experience for the kids and also, a greater gain of knowledge for the adults.

3.) Elephant shows!

There are many shows at the zoo, but to me, i think elephant show is a MUST to watch! The Asian Elephants are really well-trained and they are so intelligent! The show is funny as well and i'm amazed by how the Mahouts can be so humorous and doing a great job at the same time! I've learnt that Elephants are really gentle and are a great help to humans like managing huge heavy tree logs, maybe not in Singapore, but in India. And also, these elephants are trained in Sinhalese. Besides, the audience will be able to token feed these elephants as well! Motivating factors? Simply for a fun and 'thirlling' experience on a ride on the big friendly giant as you will be swaying with them as they walk!

Helping out with tree logs.

In short, core product of vistors visiting the zoo would be the atmosphere and a brand new experience in the World's Best Rainforest Zoo. The moment you step in the Zoo, the smell of the wilderness and nature hits you and from that moment, you will realise you are already in a rainforest!

Augmented product? Of course would be the retail gift shop that is rainforest themed as well! Located just near the entrance of the Zoo, convenient for the visitors entering and leaving the zoo. Besides, prams and wheechairs are also around the entrance area for the visitors with special needs.

Tangible Product? Once you enter the Zoo, there will be staffs around asking whether do you want a picuture and it is a very good idea for visitors that forgot or does not have a camera. The staffs are very warm and friendly and they not only have camera staffs at the entrance but scattered around the zoo walking around and asking people if they want a photo taken with the animals.

So, with friendly and approchable staffs providing you with different services and a closer touch to the nature reserve and animals? It's definitely a must for you to come alrights?

Classification of visitor market for the zoo will be.....>>

HELLO MY FRIEND :)

Hmm, if you ask me how would i classify the visitor market of zoo, i would classify them under families with young kids which is under the Stages In Family Life Cycle. I would clssify them under this variable is because most of the visitors are from them. Normally when we think of zoo, we would think of them as a form of edutainment not only for the kids, but also the adult. So, it's a place whereby family can bring their kids along and have a bonding session as there are alot of bonding activities in th zoo like the KIDZ Playworld whereby i see alot of daddies playing and rolling around in the water with the kids while their mommies take photos and run around with them. Young children also gets selected up to interact with the little animals during animal shows and all these things, definitely leaves many memories for them. KIDZ Playworld is definitely a place to satisfy the kids curosities and also, on the wild animal carousel, parents can be on it with their kids!

                                                          Brochures & tickets :)
